  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Prepare the Spicy Chili Oil:
    • In a small pan, combine olive oil, sesame oil, chili flakes, turmeric, and minced garlic. Heat the oil on low heat for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally to infuse the oils with the spices.
  2. Toast Your Bread:
    • While the oil is infusing, toast your bread – I like to toast them in the pan with a little olive oil
  3. Mash Your Avocado:
    • Cut your avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh into a small bowl. Mash the avocado with a fork, adding the lemon juice, salt, and pepper to taste.
  4. Assemble Your Toast:
    • Spread the mashed avocado
    • Drizzle with Spicy Chili Oil
    • Optional top the toast with a fried or poached egg for added protein
