I’ve been loving matcha lately! It has a different energy feel than coffee. This smoothie is a perfect morning boost or an early afternoon pick-me-up!

Ingredients (Serves 1)
- 1 tsp matcha powder (I prefer ceremonial grade)
- 1/2 frozen banana (for natural sweetness and creaminess)
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or preferred nut milk)
- 1/4 cup coconut yogurt (plain or vanilla-flavored)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (or seeds from 1/4 vanilla bean)
- 1 tbsp almond butter or cashew butter
- 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional for sweetness)
- I like to add a couple ice cubes
Directions
- Combine your matcha, frozen banana, almond milk, coconut yogurt, vanilla, nut butter, honey/maple syrup, and ice cubes in a blender.
- Blend until smooth and creamy. Adjust consistency with more almond milk if needed
- Sprinkle of matcha powder or shredded coconut
